The awards recognize innovative mid to later stage cleantech companies around the world who actively support the business clusters and incubators in their regions. Chargepoint was nominated for the 2012 Later Stage Awards by GCCA Member Cluster Green Metropole (http://greenmetropole.nl) for smart charging solutions for electric vehicles. Winning companies will be announced at the Savannah International Clean Energy Conference on November 13, 2012 in Savannah, Georgia, USA.

Three categories new to this year’s awards are BioEnergy, Smart Grid/Sustainable IT and Tidal/Hydropower. Over the next 5 months the nominations will be evaluated based on the merits of technology innovation and business acumen by over 30 venture capital and cleantech judges hand-selected for the Later Stage Awards. Combined, the GCCA judges have invested over $3.5 billion in clean technology.
